Yoga for Perimenopause
The menopause is a time of transition for women and yoga can be a fantastic tool to help alleviate some of the symptoms we face.
This half day retreat will help to soothe hot emotions and release the everyday physical and emotional tension that can build up at various stages of a menopause journey.
Hot flushes are a symptom that women can experience during the perimenopause and menopause as their oestrogen levels begin to drop.
In this workshop we use cooling postures and practices to help to cool down the body, and meditation and breathing techniques to help to calm the mind. Working into spaces in the body that can help to release the heat it is holding, this workshop will help women to feel cooler, calmer and rebalanced.
It will teach tricks and techniques to take away and use for when hot flushes and hot emotions strike in our day to day lives off the mat.
Upcoming Dates: Saturday 19 October, 1-4pm $75 per person

About your host:
In 2020 Fi faced one of her biggest physical challenges when she was diagnosed with Primary Ovarian Insufficiency aged 38, which triggered her into the menopause. Yoga became a tool and a safe haven both for the physical and the emotional impact of her diagnosis.Yoga helped Fi to find a connection with her body and mind through the power of practice and be able to forgive her body through this process. Now she is keen to share how yoga can help others on their journey to acceptance and create space for those going through similar transitions. In 2022 she trained in menopause yoga to take her practice and her teaching to a deeper level and credits her practice with keeping her healthy and happy.
